as a child of twenty-five

It’s baking time again! I honestly have very mixed feelings about these cookies. They are the optimistically-named Peanut Butter Blossoms, from Hershey’s Kitchen, and they did not turn out the way I was expecting them to, at all. I don’t know what it was about them – I followed the recipe as written, but I definitely should have added at least a cup more flour than the recipe told me to. I was fully expecting something like these lovely cookies from Tastefully Done, but alas.

My cookies turned out like the ones you see at the top of the page: pancakey. Hopelessly, irreversibly pancakey. The universe is absolutely filled with senseless tragedy.

That said, there is a silver lining: even if they look sort of silly, they’re definitely still delicious.
